So I got an 08 2.7 Tacoma 5 speed and my exaust fell off and I had to cut the wires for one of my o2 sensors and it now won’t go above 3100 rpms even tho I got it all put back on and rewired, it’s throwing off the codes p1613, and p0102, any idea how to go about fixing it?!? Can’t afford to bring it to shop!!!

Did you cut the wires with power applied ( truck still running )?
Did the wires get shorted together or to ground after you cut them?

If so you could have damaged the ECU Computer...

P1613 indicates an issue with the secondary air injection system driver circuit.

P0102 indicates an issue with the Mass Air Flow Sensor ( MAF ). Search and find how to clean it with MAF Cleaner. Warning do not touch the sensor with your fingers or anything else. Very easy to damage it.

Sorry I don't have my detailed references available right now.

In light of that mishap, if it were my truck I'd suspect those codes are sending me down a rabbit trail and away from the real problem. You said the exhaust fell off. If that's really what happened, the cat might have gotten damaged internally -- the honeycomb specifically -- causing excessive back pressure. Did you check for rattles before you put the exhaust back on the truck? Can you at least afford to get the cat flow-tested?

    That sounds gnarly!

If you have fixed everything already and the codes are still stored, just go ahead and replace your blown 10amp "EFI 2" fuse and call it a day.

I reattached and wired the o2 and went thru the engine bay fuse box and found a blown multi port fuel fuse and she’s been running great since!
