Took care of my Pinch weld last week.
    20180905_170408[1].jpg

    Finally installed the Prinsu today!
    20180912_190443[1].jpg

Need to focus on getting the bed rack ready to install again to put the RTT back on. Ordered the AAL for the dakar pack on Monday and it should deliver next week. Have a few other things I'd like to get done but time is running out and none of its needed for the next trip.

The next morning we hit Medano Pass as we started our journey west towards our real goal of Moab. That update will come once I have more time and internet access. Might not happen until the trip is over and I should have a couple hrs on wedn morning with nothing to do.

Well the trip is completed and it was a great time. I ended up coming back a day early to have some extra time to get the truck unloaded and be able to take the truck in to Toyota to have the blower motor replaced for a 2nd time. It was replaced this morning and hopefully they found the right defect this time and I wont need a 3rd one after another year.

I'll start off this update with a couple pics from our first camp spot I showed in my previous post.

After breaking down camp from the first night we continued on to go through Great Sand Dunes NP on Medano Pass. Great to immediately hit a trail on day 2 and not only be putting more miles behind us on the highway. Climbing up to the start of Medano Pass @hoarder23 was having some trouble in 2wd before getting it put into 4wd.

After running through Medano Pass we were on our way to Engineer Pass to spend more time off pavement on our way to the start of the Rim Rocker trail to get to Moab.

    20180919_115625_2.jpg
Weather wasnt great on Engineer Pass, wet and windy, so no pics were taken on the way up. Before hitting the start of the trail we had to gas up. We sure do like stopping at gas stations.

The lunch stop was near the end of the pass so we hit pavement and started making our way to Montrose to start the Rim Rocker Trail. Our original plan was to make it to Moab on this day but after adding 2 trails in CO there was no way we would make it. We got onto the Rim Rocker trail and quickly found a nice camp spot for the night. Rim Rocker Trail would have to wait for the morning.

    20180920_065535.jpg
There was some light rain that stopped shortly after setting up camp. Cant help but love when I'm able to be out camping in beautiful country with good people.

The next morning would have us blasting down Rim Rocker Trail and arriving in Moab. I will have that update coming in the next few days.

The trip continued on the next day with the sun shinning and us ready to continue on to Moab. Total length of Rimrocker Trail is 159m of almsot complete dirt. It was a fun way to get off the highways and get into Moab.
We did deal with some traffic at random times.
    IMG_5669.jpg
    IMG_5670.jpg
As we continued on it was clear to me Utah was getting closer as the terrain changed.

As we continued we eventually made it to the border. Getting very close to Moab now!
    IMG_20180920_122356.jpg
We continued on and not much later we stopped for a quick lunch and to figure out how we wanted to get into Moab and what we would hit for the day.

After making it into Moab we ran to hit Fins N Things. I dragged my HC bumper quite a few times, guess I need to touch up the PC with some paint sometime.

Had to decide straight or the alt route to the left. We ended up going left for a steep climb that looked more fun.

The sun was setting and we needed to find a place to camp and get ready for the next day. The next day would bring the hardest trail we would hit.
    IMG_20180921_094805.jpg
A quick stop to make sure we needed to turn and let the dogs out for a quick stretch and bathroom break.
    IMG_20180921_105344.jpg
As we continued on we saw what would be the hardest climb yet. The pic doesnt do it justice but it had a lot of ledges, some large and loose rock.

    IMG_20180921_112442.jpg
    IMG_20180921_114206.jpg
We didnt get any pics but we hit a section that required @hoarder23 to use both lockers to make it past and I would need to winch off of him. Then we drove around another ledge and a tree with a smaller ledge just on the other side. My truck struggled to get around the tree and up the ledge and Moab left it mark on the passenger side of my truck. I eventually made it up and walked up the rest of the trail to view the damage Moab had given me.

We had plans to hit another trail but by the time we finished up it was getting late and finding a camp was going to take priority. The rest of moab didnt get as many pics so I'll just drop a few more for your viewing pleasure.

I sat for a while this morning just relaxing and enjoying the sun rise. After we packed up here we grabbed a bit to eat in town and headed our own ways. I wanted to be home the next day to so I could unload the truck and start getting ready to go back to work. The pup enjoyed the suns rays with me.

Overall it was a great trip! Its only been a few days and I wish I was still out enjoying nature.

Wow. So many questions! Did I see somewhere in an old thread that you live in Wylie? Same here. In browsing your pics, I noticed a few from the San Juans. I've spent quite a bit of time on those trails but, to this point, only on ATVs. However, that is exactly why I bought my Taco in the first place. Still working on the upgrades and I have to say you've inspired me (not that I needed any more inspiration to spend more money $$$).

Ok, first question: Did you install your SSO bumper yourself? And, if so, any gotchas I need to know about? I've been working with BaerTrax in Dallas on some other mods but I'm considering doing that one myself when the time comes.

At any rate, awesome rig! Awesome pics! If you're still in Wylie and see me around (I don't think there are many other lifted Quicksand DCSB Off-Roads around here) give me a honk. I'll do the same if I see you! And thanks again for the inspiration!!

Thanks! I do still live in wylie but it's more like murphy since I live on the border of the 2 and am in murphy more. I've done 99% of the work on my truck, the only things I didn't do is the cmc(I cant weld) and alignments. Ther coinorder install read pretty simple, I've heard that they have updated the instructions to get a better cut/fit based of info customers have provided. If you install yourself feel free to hit me up and I could help, an extra set of hands is very useful during install.

BTW - Is this truck also your daily driver? Mine is at the moment so I'm trying to find the right balance of mods.

Yes I DD my truck. Once it's paid off I plan to buy a new DD. Im actually planning on getting a second set of tires that are p rated for around town to save weight. Going to 285 I noticed a huge difference in acceleration.

Newest addition to my pack came home today! Looking like it will be a while before he can start joining me on trips, needs almost all shots still. Hes a 4 1/2 month old husky rescue. :D He currently has no name! The rescue named him Sam but that has to change.
