:sawzall: isnt a big deal if its just fenders. I'm going to be :sawzall:the bedsides once my rear bumper arrives in a couple months! :D

Thanks! I still want to do a lot to it but I am very happy with it as it progresses. :)

I got over cutting it when I installed my slimeline front bumper for the winch and recovery points!

Seeing your truck on 285's def helps push me to go bigger. I always new I would go to at least a 285, I didnt plan on buying the lift 6 months after I got the truck and only 3-4 months after I upgraded the wheels and tires.

Got my Ultimate LED Turn Signals by @mesojdm in yesterday and installed today. They look damn good and the last bit of chrome on the outside of the truck I can eliminate is gone!

Got a few things christmas, some of which are for the truck! Battery jumper, Kershaw knife, knife sharpener, Meso Customs Extended Fuse panel cover for use with Add-a-fuse's by @mesojdm and a new collar for the pup with his name and my # sewn into it since he keeps getting his name tag caught and ripping it off his collar.

No pic but I also got an 8ft folding ramp that I need to find a way to attach to the RTT to help get the dog into it on trips. I may need to make a 1-2ft bottom pc to raise it to keep the angle decent. Its pretty light weight but its 4 ft long folded so I also need to figure out a good way to store in the bed for trips.

I'm pretty happy with it. I knew I would get a knife by having it on my list because my brother in-law is all about self defense and being prepared. He couldnt believe I was brave enough(stupid enough in his opinion) to not have my gun on me when I went to AZ camping and stopped to visit them earlier this year. He said something about being out that far someone could have killed me to take my stuff. :rofl:I'm more worried about being in cities for that kind of stuff. Its the animals I worry about slightly out in the wilderness not people.

Awesome build man! reading through your whole thought process on the build has given me the little extra reassurance to pull the trigger on a winch. Have you used yours and if so what are your thoughts on the Smittybilt? Thanks!

Thanks! I've only used the winch 2 times so far. 1 time for myself, stuck in some muddy ruts going up hill and another time to pull a buddy free after he dropped his front wheels off a ledge and was sitting on his skids. So far the winch has worked like its supposed to and did the required work to get the trucks free. Smitty's CS seems good since I had to use it after I made a mistake and snapped a bolt on the motor:facepalm:. To me its all about self recovery options and not needing to pay a ridiculous amount to get a tow or find someone to help me get free. I feel pretty good having the Smittybilt x20 to get me through if I get stuck. I still need to grab a few more accessory's(a second snatch block and some spare d-rings) to aid its use but so far it has made me happy.

Took a nice 7 hr round trip drive to Houston to pick up some Clazzio's! I'll get them installed next weekend. Pretty nice sunrise on my way down.
    20180114_071350[1].jpg
Got some pretty shitty MPG's... I only have c-rated 265/70r17's. I'm kinda worried about going to 285+.
When I filled up it calculated to be pretty accurate. The truck is guzzles gas when doing 80+. Maybe I just need to slow down and go the speed limit...

Saw this sweet ride on my way home.

No way can I drive by a Buc ee's 2 times without stopping!
    20180114_110344[1].jpg

While I'm not installing the Clazzio's until next weekend I did install my new map lights from @mesojdm. Love the red!

Nice rig, I'm enjoying the photos! If you need me to pick stuff up for you in Houston I always can. I love coming back up to Dallas (UNT Alum).

Just getting started in all this so I'm following your build closely! Can't wait to see the CBI swingaway installed!!

Thanks. I just got of the phone with CBI and it sounds like it will be at least another week or so before the bumper ships. I'm being patient but dang I want it installed. Tired of looking at my mangled stock bumper.

Do it. we just had a meet last weekend so the next poll to vote for next months meet should be going up soon. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dfw-bs-thread-next-meet-drink-tbd-vote-now.442133/
