    A few bolts are different.
    It is a tight rope walk with the clearances on this truck for sure and the rope is only the width of a human hair.

    Fo' realz.

    I'm pretty sure once you get to 33" or larger, the only way to eliminate rubbing 100% is to limit travel or cut metal.

    That said, as long as I'm only rubbing on smooth surfaces, I don't much mind.

    No, I havent yet. I noticed my tires flexing/compressing quite a bit while offroding yesterday so that's a good sign they are not over inflated though.

    A few bolts are different.
    Try those KM2's at about 18psi in the rocks. You will shit your pants at the traction they get. If I didnt have to drive on packed snow I would have a set.

    Ya I could imagine how well they would wrap around rocks. They were already doing that more than normal at double that.

    So I removed those 1/2" top spacers that were on my coils today. The uniballs are definitely more happy and my CVs are looking better too. It doesn't sit level anymore but it has more of the factory rake which I like.

    I also did some fender trimming.

    I'm glad you asked :D

    I went with the 305s because they are wider, obviously. In my experience, wider tires float better in snow and mud so they dont dig down and get you stuck. Plus I like the look. And everyone else has 285s haha.



    I went with 4.88s because the 4 cyl motor needs that for the type of offroading I do. I don't drive on the highway much, so that also played a factor. I would always want to overgear rather than undergear. I couldnt be more happy with my 4.88s :cool:

    285/75/16 MTZ's.... OME lift(885s)...4:88 gears.... Front and rear ARB.... Homemade skids
    Curious on what your getting for miles out of a tank of gas??.. You have the same lift as me, same gear ratio, almost the same tire size yours abit wider, plus you have the bumpers on now as well.

    I wouldnt mind running 315s:D I just dont think it would be as functional. I'm already rubbing with the 305s while offroading during compression while turning.

    I may just need to do some 'excess' cutting so I can clear 315s in the future.

    Truck rides much better without those top spacers. Im guessing its soley due to the increased downtravel.

    Good to hear. I bet the CVs are happier now too! They were a bit too angled before and I agree that having a bit of the factory rake looks better too.
