I had a damaged door repaired. It was cheaper to have a whole new OE door hung and my doors components moved over than to try to reskin the door.

    That was $1600

My guess is you'll be in the $5k range.

Better pick a primo shop. Blending that color won't be a task for amateurs. When it's done, be sure to check it in multiple lighting conditions/angles to be sure you don't have shadowing.

Easily. A $600 set of frame sliders would've saved that though. Might be a good idea to invest in some OP.

I bet it will be closer to $7k if done right. I think I would want a new cab corner as opposed to the dent pulled and filled.

You need to ask around and find a good shop. That will make all the difference. Don't necessarily go with the first place your insurance company throws out. I might call some of the high end dealers in your area and see where they recommend.

Find out who the dealerships in your area recommend. Also use Yelp to do your vetting.

Supposedly the reason for the numerous panel sections on the truck is to minimize the cost of fixing. I think I would make sure the panels are replaced. No bondo!

Possibly...plus it might be hard to believe a manufacturer would be concerned with lower costs of repair. I did read this somewhere in a review...possibly Car and Driver. I'll hunt it down and post it when I find it again.

Thread needs a poll to guess the estimate.

I'm going with 5K+ due to the cab corner and sheer length of impact down the doors and into the wheel well.

Over 5000 to fix. You pay your deductible and have increased premiums for 3 years...at least a couple grand. Now the truck has diminished value with an accident on Carfax. Sorry.
