Ouch dude. I think the $3500 estimates are about right. Really don't think it'll go over $5k, even using OEM skins.

The shitty part is, they have to respray that whole side of the truck. I think that color is going to be impossible to get a 100% match. I had to do this on a previous vehicle after a hit and run swipe with similar damage. My OCD eventually was nudged me to sell the car, because I didn't want to pay for a full respray and couldn't tolerate a shade off on one side.

That's insane $$ for that little scratch. I could prob get a new bed for $800?
Or a 2nd gen mod to fit, bondo and paint the rest. But since it's new, but soon to be old, it's nutz!

$8900 would be what it would cost to do it right.
A lot of work to fix it right

This was $4500. You can't see it went along the entire side of my car and the heated mirror. Included a new front rim. BMW 545i. When finished, it looked like it never even happened. $8900? Hope you had insurance because they got screwed.
Thanks to a teen texting and driving. My car was parked on a very wide street.

How does something like this happen? Are people just that bad at driving and being aware of whats around them?

I'm gonna guess about $8900 and 3 weeks before you get it back.

Looks good. Pretty impressive they can get it looking like nothing happened. I'm curious how they fixed the rear most corner of the cab though. Isn't that part of the main cab? You can't just replace that piece without replacing the entire cab, no?
