Thanks man! Now I just need to save up for the 20" light bar for the front as well.

Side note: the powdercoat guy said that he would match my rear stock bumper that is currently chrome if I wanted to for only $80. I just have to remove the bumper and get it to have only metal on it and he can get it done for me... may end up doing that just so no more chrome.

Ah it is? I looked at it earlier and didn't seem to bad to try and remove. Or will I need to remove the actual hitch as well?

I do have a couple cans of Plastidip laying around though...

Shit, that is a lonnnnng ways away. Looking at purchasing a better tent after the first of the year and already prob going to to spend a good $800 on it, plus the lightbar for the front bumper...

I am going to aim them better tomorrow as the left one is way high for some reason. But I fired them up and they are super bright. Pair them with the Heretic up top, ditch lights, and someday a 20" in the bumper and its game over.

Shiiiiiiiit. Yep, not going to do that I guess. Plastidip it is I suppose, but I am prob too lazy to do that.

Now I need my Prinsu for the shell to come in so I can wire up the new reverse/camp lights.

I need more BS in this thread.

Talk me out of buying an OzTent after Tax Season.... or talk me into it... either way works.

I really thought about it. Like I really thought about. However, a couple issues.

I don't have a place to store it in the office season.
The Shell I have is not reinforced, so between the RTT and myself, I wouldn't want to risk cracking it.
I like to do trails, so adding that on top of the shell would make me even more top heavy.

If I had a trailer, then I would be all about a RTT and would get one as it would be my base camp, but just not liking the RTT on the truck. I just like the shell way more to get rid of it and then get a bed rack.

I looked at the OzTent as it is easy to setup, has the built in awning, weatherproof, I can stand up in it, and can be store in a closet in the off season. The only thing with it is that it would have to be transported on the racks as it is 6ft long, which would put my racks to use.

I only have a car port, so no where to really store it securely.

Just don't know of any other really good ground tents that would work well for Texas heat and also freezing temps, that are easy to set up, and wont fall apart after 2 years.

I have my Tepui on a trailer... and I'll admit that it is way too much for one person. I got it with my family in mind, but I'm pretty much solo all the time now. I like that Oztent! I can stand up in my RTT only when I attach the annex, and that's a pain to deal with sometimes unless I'm base camping for a few days.

I may need to rethink my approach as well...

I do love the fact that the RTT can be deployed anywhere I take the trailer.

Dammit man you got me questioning everything all over here lol

What kind of tent? Why keep the trailer? Why are we here? Do bears shit in the woods? Will I ever get my snorkel from the Airflow GB#2? :goingcrazy:

    Sorry man!!!

Yea, the OzTent is pretty damn legit! I would love to have a trailer since most of my trips are more than a couple days, would be nice to have a base camp to come to and hang out at!
