By the time we get to ATR I should know this new camera drone well enough to be able to take some really crappy aerial footage. I say that because I'm a fairly shit photographer.

Nothing like some crappy aerial footage to really set you apart!

Last drone I had was a $25 one from Amazon that I crashed into some brush and completely lost it.

I haven't used Photobucket since like 2008 or something...

Went out to Barnwell this weekend to get some wheeling in and just to get out of town.

@trekker came out Friday night and hung out for a little bit and we hit some trails, did a few trails like Angry Jeep and ended on Clyde Ravines going up it.

    Photo Jun 30, 21 44 26.jpg

Saturday came around and we got back on the trails. A little water from the rain in the middle of the night, but nothing too bad. It was just me on the trials so we took it easy and did some more exploring on trails we had not done before just to see how they were. Stuff like Pine Hill Run, Spider Ravine, Scorpion Overlook, and that is about it.

Also played around on the Rock Garden a bit to test out the flex of the truck, hopefully it will improve once the new rear end is put in.

Met up with a group from the Ark-La-Tex offroad club and did a few trails with them, did Any Sunday and then did some of Desi-Way. Around the time we were almost done with Desi-Way, @Zac of all trades showed up so we went and met up with him to go try and get stuck enough to be able to use his new winch... we were successful! Decided to go down one of the Old Town Trio trails and onto CM Drive towards Jeepy Hollow, went up Jeepy Hollow and I was able to get up it but he was not, so winched up to a tree and pulled him up enough to get over the same part I kept having issues with. Now I want a winch... got that done and then went and made some pretty nice Tacos for dinner. Post dinner, I had the GF drive and we then went and did Solihull Trail and had her do it so she could get used to driving the truck offroad since she will drive it for some trails in Tennessee for the Appalachian Toyota Round Up.

Also, remembered that I wanted to do this at Jambo 2017, but completely forgot, so went and go a picture on this little hill since I had one when I first got to Barnwell for Jambo 2016... a lot has changed...

Got home on Sunday around 11am or so, took a really nice nap, and then went to wash the truck for about 4 hours or so. Still need to reclean the wheels and tires and do the interior, but pretty sure this is the cleanest the engine bay has been since I bought the truck...

That was a nice little trip report...

Damn trail limo and open diff just couldnt get up there! I was kinda wishing i had a sledge hammer to smash that little step so i could get up... Also if it was dry i think i would have made it, but hey we got to put the new winch to use so mission successful!

Also what did you use to clean your engine bay? I dont think mine was that clean when i drove it off the lot!

Here are a couple i got from the trip...

    I approve of this picture...

I used a bottle of Simple Green and a microfiber, sprayed it with Simple Green, then took the microfiber and bucket of soap and water and washed everything, just wring out the microfiber so you don't get a ton of water everywhere, also did the underside of the hood, then sprayed it down being sure to not spray directly at the alternator or electrical stuff.

I then turned the engine on with the hood down and let it idle for about 10 minutes and then repeated the process, once that was done, i dried off what I could and left the hood open overnight so it would all dry. Looks so much better, if I could get my arm into some of the smaller areas it would look a lot nicer, but got what I could. Going to do this process every other oil change or so I think just to help keep everything nice and clean since their will be a air compressor in there here in a bit.

Sounds like a good time. I wish the weather would have been good enough for me to make the drive. Next time hopefully!

Yeah the temp looked great but the weather worried me with the risk of the window fogging up on me. I'll should be more prepaired next time with working air and some real skids!

Oh, I saw the broken link image on post 5 of the thread and figured it would be your post but apparently the BS arrived early

New gear came in yesterday from Sierra Expeditions...

Picked up the new ARB Adventure Light 600 and the ARB Air Compressor Kit for the new Air Compressor.

The light is damn bright, magnets are strong, the hooks are pretty damn sweet to hang it from the rear glass of the shell to light up the rear. Also includes the charging cable and the 12V outlet and a 120 outlet plug.
