    Mostly dust and dirt.
Considering the junk they’ve been making for the last 30 years I’m surprised they’re still in business.

Toyota might not be ready for electric cars progress.

    https://www.theverge.com/2021/7/26/22594235/toyota-lobbying-dc-ev-congress-biden-donation

“The US is slowing moving toward adopting policies that would put more electric vehicles on the road, but for Toyota, it’s not slow enough. The Japanese automaker, which is the largest car company in the world, has been quietly lobbying policymakers in Washington, DC to resist the urge to transition to an all-electric future — partly because Toyota is lagging behind the rest of industry in making that transition itself.”

So here we are having these power supply issues. Explain just how we are supposed to recharge all these vehicles.

Then there’s that pesky bit about electric vehicles actually having a more severe adverse effect on the environment than gas vehicles over the life of the vehicle.

1 - tech is advancing, it requires grid upgrades, but nobody is towing your truck away in the night and replacing it with an EV tomorrow.

2 - you’re wrong, the degree to which EV’s pollute varies based on the electrical generation of your particular area, but this EV’s are worse line is just Fox News crap that isn’t based in reality. Also, battery tech continually improves. EV’s pollute less over their lifespan today than IC, and the R&D into new technologies will continue to grow the gap in the future.

Right, because reality is whatever you say it is.

No, because I’ve been working in the energy efficiency industry for a decade, understand the science, and know how to interpret data.

But obviously reality is only what YOU think it is.

you literally just said reality is only what you think it is, just after trying to insult me by saying reality is only what I think it is? Get your opinions straight, man.

Nikola's founder and former chairman charged by SEC for making false statements and misleading investors. EV blogs have been screaming this for months (maybe even years), but suprised/glad its actually happening.

While Nikola was never going to be a major player, it still gives the EV doubters more cannon fodder and makes it more difficult on the legitimate EV contenders to gain consumers and investors trust and ultimately drive change.

EVs are on par with gas vehicles for the first few years and then the rest is free. I don’t have the link on hand that boiled down the footprint from parts and sourcing to power generation, but the notion that EVs are even close to pollutant level of an ICE is pure nonsense.

Ever see the lithium mines in Africa? By comparison oil production is pristine.

just no man, put a picture of a lithium mine next to a tar sands pit and tell me which one is worse.
