Rebooting the phone resets the internal battery manager. I reboot my phone a few times a month to avoid weird issues.

There was an article last night that l was unable to copy that said they got 850 miles from a single tank on a Toyota Hydrogen car, pretty impressive!

how fast can you change the battery in a remote control?

imagine if you will: a world where gas stations are replaced with battery replacement systems that take as long to change an underbody mounted bank as filling 20 gallons.

Dealerships can’t even rotate wheels correctly, so there’s no way I’d let someone remove a battery bank on the regular.

When this Xanadu of motorized transportation exists I'll think about it. Until then the existing infrastructure will work just fine.

Don't you always have just as many, or usually more rechargeable batteries than the power tools that run on them? Then a few years later, for some reason you only have a bunch of old batteries laying around because they and the power tools have become obsolete.

That sounds good in theory but it would basically require every single manufacturer use the exact same battery pack. Then the station itself would probably have to be quite large to house that many battery packs.

Imagine the liability insurance you’d have to carry for that in the event one of them caught fire.

Yeah that is a good point l hadn't thought of, recently recall reading something about a fire department needing 3 days to put out a fire from a crashed Tesla. So if thousands of battery packs in one location happened to catch fire that could be a major catastrophe.

Yeah that’s a big hang up for me and any hybrid vehicle, mild or complete, right now. The new Mustang EV modulates it’s power output based on battery temp, and I’m not terribly confident of these things running hot and getting in a bad accident.

Do you think the (build quality) of the EV hummer is beefier than the Rivian?

Im just not a big fan of the body styling of most of the ev trucks.

    Except this. I like this.

Range test of EV's. EPA range vs. actual range. Not surprising, some are higher and some lower than EPA estimates.
