    Hey all,

I am looking to see if any of you all have had any issues with your evap cannister filling up with water.

Last year, I changed the oem fenders to some advanced fiberglass concepts aftermarket fenders (trophy truck style). After a few months (March), I got a bunch of EVAP codes and took it to a shop that switched out the cannister. In September, the same codes appeared and the first shop couldn't find the problem and told me to go to another shop. Took it to another shop, and they found what they thought (and think) is rainwater in the cannister. At that point, my gas cap and filler neck where hanging off to the side under the wheel weell where they were exposed to rain water slinging up from the tires. The second shop recommended to cover the gas cap so that water could not get in. I took their recommendation and fixed the gas cap head and filler neck to the fender with a gas door, as shown in the pictures below. However, just this month the same codes came back and I had to replace the cannister again due to water. The shop recommended I buy some fender liners, which Inhave currently shipping at the moment. I currently do not go offroading since this is a daily driver, so its not coming me driving into a creek or anything like that.

I was hoping to see if anyone has ran into this issue before. I really can't afford a 4th canister. Any comments will be appreciated!

The EVAP system I believe vents through holes in the area circled, since you removed the fender liner no surprise water is getting in there.
