I hooked up the OBDII to diagnose a CEL and got the following codes related to the EVAP system:

    P0420
    P0440
    P0441
    P0446

I inspected the gas cap and the gasket is worn but otherwise in decent condition (photo attached).

I noticed that the hose connected directly to the service port, as well as another hose that comes from that general area and connects to the engine are deteriorated (photos of both attached).

A quick look at the fuel filler neck did not reveal any glaring issues. In the month that I've owned the truck I haven't sensed any fuel leaks.

I checked the PCV valve as a precaution and it seems to be ok as I can hear the ball rattling inside when I shake it.

From my research, the most likely cause is one of the VSVs not functioning. I found this post showing how to perform a diagnostic test of the one at the charcoal canister. I imagine it's very similar for the other valve. Part numbers are 90910-12245 for the VSV for CCV, and 90910-12065 for the VSV for EVAP.

For P0420, the FSM indicates there is an issue with the three-way catalytic converter or the A/F or O2 sensors.

Because I live in a state that doesn't require emissions testing, this isn't mission critical for me. Like many others here, having a CEL bothers me so I figured I'd try to track down the reason while I wait to complete other projects on the truck. Hope this helps someone else who may have these same codes. If anybody uses this to try to eliminate their CEL, please let me know how it worked.
