Even after all the negative I've read here, I still want one. Am I crazy ?

Well after a bit of time reading at rav4world, I'm pretty confident that I'm going to like a new Tacoma. Nearly identical complaints to here regarding the rav4 over there. My wife drives our 2016 limited rav and we love it. Just read all kinds of complaints regarding comfort, milage, power, etc... very similar to here and we find its a fantastic vehicle. So I think I'm good ;-)

Make sure you test drive and that you like the way it feels.

    I love mine. No issues.

Keep in mind that no vehicle is perfect. All manufacturers are gonna have their quirks. What I see a lot of times, is owners drowning in a glass of water.

the owner creates the experience in the end.

If you are a complainer, you probably will hate your vehicle. If you are a man that takes care of business, you will enjoy the product.

    good luck!

If you read a review of women, you’d never want to be with one, however.......

The r/ToyotaTacoma on Reddit is much friendlier and positive. I love my truck and fully expect to see a bumper, tires, 2"lift, wheels and sliders all well used at 175,000.

Even if all the complaints are true, it would be worse to be seen in any of the other sad looking imitations (Colorado, Ridgeline, Ranger...). Seriously, based off looks alone you should not even attempt to test drive the alternatives unless you want people to think you’re a cheap-skate or some sorry cuck looking for a more “efficient value”.

Tacoma is the best looking midsize truck, by far.

No - sounds like you've researched and know the limitations/characteristics of the truck. Drive a few - don't be pressured, make your best deal (shop dealerships) and buy the truck if you like it and can afford it! I have a 2019 (purchased new in Jan this year), and I have 31K miles on it already. This truck has turned out to be my favorite vehicle in our garage!! I've had great luck with Toyotas over the years and while this is early on - I expect the same dependability/reliability. Good luck!!!!

    A few.
I wouldnt have bought my 2019 back in the spring if I let myself believe half the bullshit on here. I actually let it affect me from getting a 2016/17 back then.

I swear some people hate the truck, but still won't trade it with a great resale value
