Ever think the doors don't latch strongly enough?

Ive posted already today about my new truck. I feel that my last build on an '11 V6 4x4 had a stronger "bite" when I was opening the door. My new '09 seems like it doesn't "bite" as well? There was about three months between trucks and with no truck in that time period so perhaps its all in my head but the physical feeling of opening the door seems less strong than I remember. Thanks!

Are you going from an access cab to a double cab? They feel different from one another.

My driver's side closes fine, but the passenger door needs a little more oomph from friends. At least that's what I'm thinking, I only close my passenger-side door when vacuuming the cab and never had an issue.

I suspect it's just wear and tear on our trucks. My Taco is new with about 5500 gentle miles on it. I was just noticing this evening how tight the seal seems when I slam the door. I like that. On the other hand, when I slam the door on my 1997 Z71 the truck says, "Gimme a minute, I'll consider it". Don't care about the seal on my Z71. The seal on my Tacoma better be as tight as an oath and a promise. When the wear and tear take their inevitable toll on my Taco, I'll deal with it.

I think it has all been in my head. I went from the 11 access cab then to a 4x4 sprinter ( much heavier door and a very tight seal and a little extra oomph when having to open the door which I like, very tight and strong ) then to the 09 access cab. I drove over a dozen potential tacoma before I picked up this 09' and I thought they all had "weak" door opening bites hen the handle actually engages for the door to be released open. So, in conclusion, I believe that I was making it up. Nevertheless, i plan on replacing the interior and exterior handles with new ones just for my peace of mind. I trying to make the truck feel as new as possible and this will help someone like me.
