It's an open differential. The TRAC system mimics a LSD but it's not a true LSD

What year did they start this on the sport? The second gen sport has a true LSD.

I know my '17 tundra has an auto lsd that can be turned on/off.

True, but only one if them was right, the other understood the concept but not terminology.

None... if you want to ruin your drive-terrain, no one is gonna stop you.

Hell... Drive 100mph in 4hi. Not our problem.

It's simply not designed to do that.

You boys up in South Dakota can handle snow better than anyone else, but if the roads are so bad that you need the extra traction, you shouldn't be running highway speed anyway.

simply not designed to do that? Its a differential. Show me where in the manual it says not to exceed such and such speed limit in 4HI. its not there. I've been up to 80 in 4HI it's not going to hurt anything

Why do you NEED 4HI at 80? If conditions are THAT bad and slippery, why are you running 80?

I cut people like you out of cars every winter.

I don't have a manual that says not to stick my finger in a light socket... doesn't mean that I should.

don't need it at 80. I just don't have any other time to run 4HI so once a month i run 4HI on my way home from work to exercise the 4x4 system. Speed limit is 70 so I go 10 over like everyone else.

P.S. sorry you have a shitty job

You obviously don't know mechanics very well. The front diff is an 8" clamshell. Uses the same size ring and pinion gears as the rear diff (for sport models). So your going to tell me that running the front diff at highway speeds is going to hurt it but not the rear diff?
