Meh. Previous records used spotters in airplanes and cars and timed their departures for when traffic would be at its lowest. Unless there's going to be a rule that they must start at this time on this day of the week and this day of the year then asterisks don't really matter. They're still breaking the shit out of the law.

I don’t care so much about that. I care about the risk they inflict on others. In that regard the latest run was less awful.

At 2:12 the video says electrons move faster than light through water when hit by the gamma radiation. As far as I know, nothing can move faster than light in space. Does light react differently in water or was that a typo? Can someone explain?

Edit: the previous frame in the video explained it. Light travels at 75% the rate in water as it would in a vacuum.

Yep, light is quite a bit slower in water than in a vacuum.

    Here's a good article

Thanks for the article! I’m not in the field, but science fascinates the hell out of me. Many hours have been spent watching YouTube science videos.

My wife and I have seen him live 3 times now, and every time it was obvious that he TRIES to put on a great show.

And that he's also a totally cool dude.

When he was touring Storm Front, we got to see a freaking pick-up basketball game between him and his band and local YCMA league teams. They were exactly what you'd expect (not professional athletes but loved playing ball) and just totally cool with everyone.
