I don't even know what to say about that comment - as it's totally wrong.

Nobody goes through life keeping in contact with EVERY person you've ever spent time with or worked with over the years.

And if you're married, have kids, and are 'older' - you totally understand that life gets *busy* and you simply don't have time to keep in contact with all the people you'd like to keep in contact with - and they're just as busy as you are.

    *Sorry* offtopic....I'll try to add...
When it comes to buying products or modifications, I will always research for various ways of retaining the exact product from various companies. And to be honest, I'll go with the most economical way (cheapest/easiest) way regardless if its locally or through the internet. In most cases - things can be found much cheaper online. It really doesn't matter to me to support the local businesses unless they supply and *over the top* service & support that makes it work paying the extra money for. I do have my pocket full of local folks that I will buy from and continue to buy from - but I also buy lots of things online. It's all about the research, price shopping, and past experiences (service, support, etc).

just to continue off topic....... I have a x-mas card list of all my "friends" and people I dont wanna talk to all the time but maybe they have a kick ass hunting cabin or a nice boat (everybody has these kinds of buddys). All and all I think it is possible to locate people in this wierd thing called the yellow pages...and if you have lost contact there was probably a reason. There are people I wish I still had contact with but that would be one more christmas card, one more kids b-day party (& present), one more my wife asking me why I'm friends with that a$$hole who got busted cheating on his wife, one more person I wish I never ran into and said "let's grab a beer sometime".....

Since this thread is still alive...

    Couple notes:

Myspace is not just for kids or teenagers. In fact it is parents that allow their kids to take part in this web media interaction, without supervision that make's me so dang heated. Aint no child out there, that should be meeting up with someone from Myspace for any reason. Shit, I take precaution with all contacts that i meet for first time in any situation. Myspace for me, allows my old friend's to stay in touch while the ARMY sends me all over the world. So take that as it may be.

Also, CAT backs, yes I have a Borla. Awesome sound, great quality. Dealer f@#$'ed me on the install. Shit, now that I own a Torque wrench I will never pay for exhaust work that aint custom again. Pros: Stainless, mandrel bent tubing. Cons: what real performance gains are you getting from mandrel bent? cant you just install yourself?

    Sure thing man...

Got my full size spare hooked up in Cary today. All the guys there said that the trails at Uhwarrie should be a blast. Looking at my truck w/just a level kit and 33's, they said there are tons of novice trails to rip on, and hopefully some good muddy ones to mess around in. Im Stoked...:D

Get the best of all worlds and stake claim to a real DIY: buy the straight pipe at a local shop, buy some mandrel online, and weld up your own exhaust.

Back in the day I actually bought a cheap mig welder for the price that a local shop was wanting to charge me (in just the labor) to weld a full turbo back exhaust for my supra. Of course the obvious drawback is experience with a welding setup, but there are many beginner guides available and it is a great skill to have. Case in point, I still have that little mig setup (also an acetylene torch that works wonders in many applications) and have welded many a bracket, manifolds, etc.

Consider, doing your shopping and price checking online and then taking that info to your local accessoies shop. Most local shops will come within $20-$30 if not match the price, if your going to install it yourself. And if your "catback in a box" is damaged or missing components, they will deal with the headaches. Support your local economy!!!!!!

p.s. I just bought an exhaust online for about $380 CAD. Would've cost me $735 if I bought it locally. I may not be supporting my local economy, but I'm supporting someone's economy (considering the state of the US economy everyone down there should be glad us Canadians are not shopping locally....)
