I agree. After that punch to the ear, it threw off Wilder's equilibrium the remainder of the fight.

Anyone watching the Garcia and Vargas fight this weekend?

That's the thing with heavyweights... All that preparation, strategy, conditioning... and, BOOM, one punch throws it off the window. That danger is obviously the attraction of heavyweights, but I've got to say, sometimes it frustrates me. It just leaves me wanting more.

I look forward to the Garcia fight... just have to find out a place to see it. I don't have cable and don't want to PPV again this weekend.

That's what I believe would happen as well, fury getting better and better. I put 50-50 for a wilder-fury 3

i dunno.. wilder looked terrible from teh get go. i don't think he wore the extra 20lbs very well. next time he needs to add muscle to the legs. they looked scrawney.

a 3rd fight could be interesting if wilder can make some changes and learn to slip the jab and fight inside.

I agree. He needs to work on some basics... although it sounds weird to say that about a champion. You can't rely on power all the time.

He has to want it first, and I don't know if he does. He's another guy who relies heavily on his natural qualities, in his case it's hand speed.

You can make it far on power or speed alone, but you have to be a well-rounded fighter to stay at the top.

Wilder is limited in boxing skills, it's just a punching power, being tall and reach. Fury brought the fight to him and didnt give him a chance

I have to disagree brother, he won that fight by punching for his life and getting up off the canvas himself to do it, well deserved win.

He won the fight. No question.

He should have never been in the fight if jousha would have fought the tall guy fight. We saw that in the second fight.

is it just me or did Wilder's legs look a little to chicken like? I'd have him out running mountains until he had some real calfs

Really been looking forward to the latest episode of the Terence Crawford show on ESPN tonight. IMHO Bud is the best lb for lb boxer in the sport. Fighting ex-champ Brit Kell Brook. Bud gonna whup that azz.

Hopefully he doesn't seriously injure Kell with his history of skull fractures. Agree 100%, Bud is the best in the business.

That right jab put Brook on queer street. Good stoppage by Weeks; like you said Brook would've suffered permament damage or even worse. Been following this sport for many years & Bud just might be the best finisher I've ever seen..

It was a great fight! I agree with Terrence being at the top of the game right now. But how about that bought out fight before the main fight lol. I can't believe it took them 30 min to make that call and they still got it wrong.
