considering these, the spring rates seem high, 650 and 700lbs, how much extra weight is on your truck?

I was concerned too. No extra weight up front at this point, but I'm a DCLB. I went with the 14" 650# springs. I know it's apples and oranges, but compared to the Fox 2.0's that I had previously (13" 600# coils) the ride is much better with the Elka's.

Anyone that's running Elka's on their Taco's have any feedback, especially post-group buy last year?

Very close to pulling the trigger on their adjustable setup.

Mine will be on in mid June if all goes well! I'll be posting feedback on them in my build thread over the next few months. Hard to get many good reviews on them! @ClubSoda has some on that he seems to like though, maybe he'll chime in.

That said, I drove a truck that had their 2.5 IFPs and came away super impressed.

Haha, just finished replying to Greg in my build thread. I love the Elka's, they've exceeded my expectations and haven't disappointed me one bit. I was just saying my only regret was I could have probably saved a couple hundred by not getting the adjustable set since the factory setting is very comfortable to me.

Overall, I'm beyond happy with my purchase, and Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road completed the order very quickly while providing me with all the info I needed on my setup. I think she has them on her 4runner as well .

I can say mine have held up well through their first winter. Body of shocks and resi's look new still. Some oxidation on fittings, but some polish will likely clean that up. Ride is good, though I don't have anything to compare to other than stock and the few months I had Fox 2.0 on front and custom tuned Fox 2.0's with resi's and LSC on rear. Ride is firm, but controlled. Seems to do best at slower speeds (5-15mph) in moderate to large size bumps/rolls, which it just eats up. Small bumps, pot holes, and expansion joints at speed >30 mph still drive me bonkers d/t feeling harsh and making the truck shake violently (that's rolling on C-rated KO2's). I don't feel like my adjusters make that much of a difference, which I need to reach out to Elka about. I have taken the sway bar off and added Hammer hangers in attempt to smooth things out more. Only small improvement noted. For reference, I have a 2nd gen DCLB with a shell that weighs ~175#. I went with 650# coils and used RXT leafs on setting 2 for driver and setting 1 for passenger, to help with the taco lean. Given the 3rd gen is quite a bit heavier in the front than the 2nd gen, I wouldn't be surprised if the ride is improved. I have yet to use the last 1.5-2" of shock travel on both front and rear, which makes me believe Accutune's philosophy that I could be sprung softer. I'd love to get my hands on a set of custom tuned 2.5 Fox's or kings with 600# springs to compare, but I'm already in so deep and corrosion is a huge issue where I live.

Hope this helps. Here's a little flex shot.

I do have the Elkas on my 4Runner. So far I have been really happy with the on road and off-road ride quality. I have used them for daily commuting, longer family trips, some high speed desert stuff, and even some mild rock crawling. I personally do like the adjusters since I can (or usually my husband) dial them in for the various terrain and/or load we are running.

If anyone is interested in Elka feel free to PM me and I can see what I can do on pricing for you :)

Going to pick up a pair of the 2.0 coilovers from Elka. Thanks for the write up!

They seem solid for the price and for the minimal amount off roading I do.

    They’re also purdy AF
