I just found the brickset.com site that allows you to index all of the sets you have. It's an interesting tool and does help reduce some of the confusion when looking into the bulk parts bins. I went ahead and listed all of the ones I know that I'm handing down to the boy as well as the ones of his that I can find the guides for. The funny bit is that I have so many other sets that I've lost the guides to along with all of the random pieces that I've bought over the years from Bricklink and the like. I had to take a step back because I was actually going to start counting pieces there for a minute. Maybe later.

Be that as it may, here is the beginning of our index with more to come as I dig the guides out.

Toys R Us has a small sale on speed champions. So I picked up a couple. There are a few coming out this year that I will get.

I'm thinking that you might have a fondness for Star Wars stuff.

Yes, first and foremost I like Star Wars. However I am branching out to other themes.

Now I need to work up the enthusiasm to start going through all of these drawers and count this stuff.

I really should. I made some custom 'B' units for it and some custom cars as well. The old Lego space is occupied by furnishings from another house that I am remodeling. Luckily I got to set aside some general use space in the den that I plan to make into a Lego area for the boy and I to share. Wanting to do something along these lines with a train layout table as well.

Aren't the Halo products for mega bloks only? I'm pretty sure Lego has a rule about no military or combat sets.

It's true, mega blocks have the license for Halo. But it's all good. We all enjoy the art of building.

Star Wars isn't military or combat?

I got the Lego AT-ST set for Xmas. It has two guns that actually fire projectiles across the room. I'm talking Boba Fett, take your eye out, not for production type of projectiles. I think the "no military or combat" mindset went out the window long ago.

My son dropped his VW bus today trying to dust his Lego shelves. He was not very impressed with himself. :).

My wife has the exact same talent. The difference is that she laughs and tells me to fix it.

Long time ago I bought a cd with plans for a bunch of military Lego projects. It didn't come with an xml of the required parts for the projects so I kinda lost my interest in building them.

There's a company that makes realistic weapons for Legos. Pretty cool. Shoots Lego blocks if I remember right
