    Been wondering how many bricks I have in the sets in my collection, so I ran the report from my db today. And the total was (drumroll, please...)

    87,146 bricks

    First I was like :eek:

    Then I thought :yay:

    Now I know I must be :crazy: because at the same time I saw how much I spent on my collection and damn near fainted. Holy jeebus.

    Both my kids love legos. My son is into the Star Wars sets and creator sets. My daughter likes the Friends sets with the pony and puppy shows and stuff. He doesn't want my help building his stuff, but it's pretty impressive when he's finished, her on the other hand (5) still needs the help which makes me a big hero when it's complete.

    They inherited a 24gal rubbermaid tote full of loose legos from my childhood that my brother and I shared.

    He has a bunch of random Legos that we build with, but the sets pose a problem... He always wants to play with them when we're done, and I have to convince him to display them on a shelf! I usually let him play with them for a little while (picking up the pieces behind him!) then have him pick out a spot on his shelf.
