It was released in 2003. Definitely one of the best UCS sets!

Yeah, they're collectors items now. I bought mine about a year ago for $650. Still sealed and the box is in excellent condition. Could prob turn it around now for close to $1K.

Take a look at the current prices for the UCS Falcon (10179) and you'll have a heart episode. Sealed first editions (first 10,000 sets with a certificate of authenticity) are going for as much as $5000. I've got a first edition, but the previous owner broke the seals to look inside the box. Luckily everything inside is still sealed, including the certificate, but because it's been opened it's worth about 25% less.

The UCS X-wing in my collection is used and in OK condition. Box has shelfware and some stickers are peeling, but it's still worth a significant amount more than the set originally sold for. That's why I'm hoping the new set doesn't devalue it.

Regardless, I'll buy at least one of the new sets. X-wings and Falcons always appreciate as soon as they sell out!

Holy crap, it's a Unimog! Awesome. I haven't been in here for a while. I would have killed for that as a kid. I used to have diecast Corgi Unimogs.

 

Saw this one at the Lego store... Pretty neat set.

Also almost bought this set from Ichiban a year or two ago when they debuted.
I think it was like $120 and I ordered it drunk, then cancelled it the next day. No longer available, I wish I had kept the order

Ive seen the B2TF Delorean but not that Hill Valley diorama. Awesome!
