I'm happy to see for $800 you get a ring bound assembly book. That's a huge lego too.

Lego did a great job of gutting this market. I wonder how many people have a stockpile of these thinking they could retire on them? We’ll see what the price will drop to once Lego can get a steady supply of new ones.

 

Why is LEGO having so much trouble getting a steady supply?

 

I think they underestimated the demand of such an expensive set. They didn’t want to over produce the most expensive set ever to sit and languish on the shelf if the demand wasn’t there. At the end of the day $800 is a lot for a toy.

 

That’s not the $800 one is it? Box look too small. Hell there were plenty of them at the Orlando store last week.

So, I originally ordered the Technic Mine Loader, but Toys "R" Us fudged on that (I think it was simply out of stock and my order came not long after the last one was sold). So, my credit card was refunded, as was the Toys "R" Us gift card. Sooo...

I decided to order this new release instead!

 

Also, would someone care to explain why I can buy about $500 worth of stereo equipment for my Tacoma on Crutchfield and not get taxed for it, but I can't get LEGO sets from the Toy "R" Us and Target websites, or even the LEGO Shop website, without being charged Pennsylvania tax? WTF?

 

That's pretty much a down payment for the actual ship.

After seeing the current one in the LEGO store, I'm saving some pennies. It will be my first LEGO purchase for myself in a long time.

Got my niece and nephew some sets for Christmas. ALMOST makes me want to have kids.

 

I know that Han Solo won the Falcon, but I've been wondering...

What do you think the fair market value of the actual Millennium Falcon would be? Considering that the ship was probably 90 years old in the first movie, I'd imagine it is not as unaffordable as one might think...
