just ordered the Space Needle, White House, and Brandenburg Gate. haven't played with Legos in a few decades so i'm kinda stoked for Amazon to deliver. i'm only moderately surprised to find a Lego thread on TW. the Galaxy Explorer is the bomb. i remember wanting that set so bad.

 

My son(s) and I went through a few Lego's yesterday.



More to come, still working on organizing everything, gets tough with a 2 and 4 year old wanting to play with everything when I pull it out.

 

My son just turned 4, we just built that one a couple of days ago. Good times.

Hit up the Lego Store this morning. Went right when it opened and scored a B-wing at 50% off! The X-wing set looks sweet! So nice to have a Lego Store in STL now. Ok, now nobody bother me, I'll be busy for the rest of the weekend

 

+3000 pieces of Lego fun.

 

Debating pulling the trigger on the B-wing myself. You should have done two separate purchases. You would have got two of the May the 4th figures.

 

Yeah, thought about that. Unfortunately my 3yo had to go to the bathroom, and there were like 20 other people in line. Did two separate online orders for two more X-wings tho ;-)

 

I just had to get in on this... there are only a few things near and dear to my heart... now two of them are on the same forum. Legos and tacos...

Here's a couple of shots of 2 robots I made for one of my kids a few years back. I built the bigger 1 first and my daughter told me that it needed a "friend"....so I quickly through the little one together! LOL

BTW...there weren't enough parts for me to make them too sophisticated.

 

Today's progress. 10 total bags, 6 completed. Overall, a much cleaner build than the previous UCS X-wing. The targeting computer in the cockpit is a great touch. The instruction books and the sticker sheets come in their own plastic bag with cardboard backing so they won't get bent during shipping. Lego also included 2 sets of the windscreen stickers, which is another a great addition. Too bad there's not 2 sets of the other sheet as well. Likely not going to be putting any of the stickers on anyway, but debating the plaque sticker. Should finish her up tomorrow.
