    ideas is just that - ideas. its a one off set build by a fan and if the design gets enough votes it might become a real set. thats how we got the saturn v and the dinosaurs and the flintstones and the treehouse and many others. the official lego people only pick a few designs every year so if you really want it sign up and vote!

    Did someone actually build this, or is it just a computer generated image? Would there be plans on how to build it and you just have to source all the different parts?

    looks to be a GCI and by the age of it I doubt it will become a set. sometimes the fans who make the designs will release the details, sometimes not.

    Don’t give up hope yet. There are Lego Ideas that get the 10K votes but don’t get built. Sometimes these plans get released as MOCs (My Own Creations). If released as an MOC, it would typically include the parts list and instructions. You would then have to get the parts to build it. No guarantee this will happen to this model.

    Alternatively, you could reach out to the creators and see if you could work anything out. Might be out of the question but couldn’t hurt to ask.

    Alternatively again, you could join Lego to vote for the model then start a campaign that goes viral to break all sorts of voting records for an Ideas model! That could increase the chance Lego picks it up :D.

    Work has been about the same for be, perhaps a bit less, but the circumstances are the same. My weekends are free now though, with no sporting events for the kids. Been building my video game cabinet, these LEGO, playing Doom, and I’ve just started binging Miami Vice.

    I liked the Y-wing so much that I think I'll pick up the A-wing this week. My stuff from China might get here next week, and I think I'll have to go that route for a matching X-wing.
