I knew it was the padded envelope because Amazon, with all its billions, will shove a book in a box with a piece of paper or two bubbles worth of bubble wrap so the book arrives all banged up with mashed corners, scratches, dinged bindings or any other type of unnecessary damage...

    What haven’t I changed?
Better than just slapping a shipping label on the LEGO box like they did with the last set I ordered from them

The one time I ordered from Amazon it was in 3 boxes. The Lego set itself inside another box that said Toys inside the Amazon shipping box.

Same. My Sat V came inside it's lego packaging inside a plain cardboard lego box inside a plain Amazon box. I think there we an option for that though since it is a large high dollar item that might attract too many porch pirates if it were in a flashy box.

    Just the basics
I ordered the small Mandalorian battle pack from slamazon and it came in a white plastic wrap mailer. No protection whatsoever other than being opaque. Now if it were a pricey set I'd be upset.

I miss when you could just go to sears or toys r us for your LEGO sets... fresh off the shelf, cash and carry. Now anytime I buy one online it arrives looking like it was a test subject in a new dump truck testing protocol.

Just submitted Bricklink orders for my next project. Ultimate goal is to build a pirates display for whenever we can start having shows again.

Is there a site or program you play around in to make these designs?

I use Studio. There's also Lego Digital Designer, which was published by Lego itself. Studio is supported by BrickLink, and the controls were a bit more intuitive to me and my personal software background, so that's the direction I went.

Keep that mindset. Some of the costs can bring tears, particularly for older, out-of-production bricks.

I got too many truck aspirations thanks to this place, no need to add Lego costs on top! I'll play with the virtual ones for now till I win the lottery I don't play.
