"But honey, the cost of the printer will be offset as soon as I print that out-of-production 1x2 hinge with thin o-rings in transclear." (Disclaimer, this might not be a real part, I just made it up for expediency.)

Edit: Apparently Print-A-Brick has been shut down but a google search of that term will show work arounds.

Touché. I'm personally a purist with Lego, but you definitely make a decent argument.

I was thinking of unavailable parts.

Ex. I’ll be building a Brickmania P-51 (from one of their books) and the nosecone for the propeller is going to be just a bit off because the called for part was unavailable..

    Thanks, glad you like it!

I was going for a mashup of Lagoon Lockup and Saber Island on steroids, so same era/style as Eldorado Fortress

Thought about doing the same with a second Saturn V, and also building a Saturn 1B.

Was standing in line at the Lego Store when you posted. That was an interesting circus.

Nice! The Dickens a bit bigger box than I thought.

I have an incomplete 1B. Bought an MOC and the pieces but the instructions became unreadable at a certain point. Buyer beware. I’ll get it together with other instructions this winter.

I envy/not envy you folks close to retail opportunities. I think my nearest Lego stores are at least 3 hours drive away AND, in a sales tax state. (Kinda crazy how used to not paying sales tax one can get.). Glad the Internet has evolved to the point it has for retail. Love free shipping too

Yeah, my bank account took a hit too. I’m on the fence about ordering another set.

I saw 1B MOC instructions somewhere for sale, might be the same one. Probably will just try to build my own eventually. Maybe.

I only went today because those two sets were already sold out online. I wanted the Ecto-1, and double points was a good incentive. The fire station is retiring this year, and I picked it up as a gift for a friend who is really into classic fire trucks.
I'm prepared to eat my words, but barring any good sales/deals these are probably the last sets I'm buying for the year. Might still have a couple Bricklink orders here and there, but the bank account needs a chance to recover.

I was hoping to buy the Elf Club House and the AT-AT. Both were out of stock.

I’m only about 45 minutes or so from Delaware so there’s been occasions that we’ve gone to the mall in Christiana for larger purchases to avoid sales tax.

Target In Store has some Killer Deals on lego. some sets are discounted pretty big. of course my local had 0 of the sets. but i was amazed looking at the amount off on some of them. If you have a target nearby, id go check it out.

    ps. i hate resellers.

That’s not too bad... I remember buying the 1st XWing 20 years ago and I think it was $40. A similar set for only $10 more isnt bad. As for the millennium falcon... however. That’s a different story.
