    :angrygirl: I swear.... I am having the worst luck with sets lately...
    Thought I'd build my Fender today. Bag 1 down, pop open bag 2. Step 6 calls for a 2x4 tan plate. Nope. Nadda. Nowhere to be found.
    I do have one of these in there and it is NOT listed in the parts breakdown at the end of the instructions. WTF?
    upload_2021-10-18_12-0-0.jpg
    This is the 2nd set, new release/bought on day 1, direct from Lego.com that I'm short a piece. My Space Shuttle was missing a Technic link a few months back.
    Just spent 5 minutes digging through my bin of random pieces and luckily enough found one in the right color so I can continue. Still kinda ticks me off

    That does suck.
    I think almost every set I've built I get that moment where I can find a specific piece and start having a panic attack that the set is missing a piece... then I usually find it somewhere like the corner of the plastic bag they came in.
    I know it's just one little piece, but I'm pretty sure Lego will make good on it if you contact them and let them know.

    And today's pickup (actually purchased the other day but was waiting on my porch for me).
    Been wanting this one for a while, just didn't want to pay $100+ for it like most people are asking.
    My lego itch is in full force right now. Can't stop hunting for sets... if I find a bugatti technic for under $300, I'll be posting another pickup post here immediately.20211018_143423.jpg

    Fender build is complete. Lego Weesa for scale.

    The strings are a PITA. And I thought the amp was the more interesting build - there's lots of "guts" inside of it.
    Thinking I might make the black body left-handed.

    santa's coming!!! :santa: :angrygirl::yay:
    had a 2x4 in my stash. got one of the "classic" blocks sets from Costco a few years back that just happened to have the right color. The piece is hidden once the build is complete so even if I didn't have the exact right piece it wouldn't have been a big issue - any 2x4 would do. and i got a bonus block out of the deal so win win. just seems like either their quality standards have slipped or i've just "lucked" out twice on the two biggest sets i've purchased this year.

    I really enjoy when something is built using legos not specifically designed for the output. Like the hot dog smile. Love the creativity. Today’s legos are awesome but there are far too many specialized pieces.
