My son has this same loader in his office. I was a Lego nut when I was a kid but we only had red and white bricks and green plates to build on. The fanciest blocks we had at first were the old angled pieces for making roofs and then the smooth flat 4x4s. One of my sisters tried to steal all my old Lego from my mother's house so she could give it to her own kids. Mom stopped her and said they'd be for my kids some day. Now my two young grandsons are playing with it along with 200+ old Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars! I kept some at my house, too, for when the kids are visiting. My original Lego building buddy from my childhood back in the late 60s never quit and probably has $30k or more in Lego today. He builds entire cities now with electric lights, trains, monorails and moving cars (of course he is single and never had kids...lmao).

My pops is a train nut. He travels all over the US and has given speeches at different rail conferences. His main love is the Sante Fe line and the impact Fred Harvey made. So seeing the Super Chief set really stands out. I'll keep an eye out, and maybe one day something will pop up.

Might be worthwhile to pick up one of the 1000+ piece "classic" sets from Wal-Mart, target, Costco etc. Run you about $50 but theres a good assortment of bricks for free building whatever. They do come with some basic wheels/axles too so maybe you'd luck out there
