Just came across this looking for a possible MOC for the Astronaut that was nixed by LEGO. Interesting if you’re into this kind of stuff:

3 out 5 stars. Mostly for some fitment and designs ideas. But overall not bad.

 

So what should the next project be? The Senna McLaren, Space Shuttle Discovery, or Scout Trooper head? I'm leaning towards the Scout Trooper as it's a not so complicated set.

Ive noticed eBay tends to have slightly better deals when buying retired sets

 

Could be old news for some - came out a few days ago:
At the end of January 2022, BrickLink Studio will be the LEGO Group’s only public digital building software program, giving fans worldwide the opportunity to build models with an endless bin of bricks. Currently, the LEGO Group maintains two public 3D building programs: BrickLink Studio and LEGO® Digital Designer, known as LDD. The LEGO Group is committed to supporting the digital building community and, as such, will focus on Studio and will withdraw support for LDD. As a result, LDD will no longer be available for download after January 31, 2022. We are focusing 100% of our efforts on one building software. The BrickLink Studio software brings an integrated and excellent experience of designing, building, ordering bricks and sharing digital designs.

We’ll continue to support the digital building community by focusing on BrickLink Studio, while LDD will be retired. This means that after the end of January, it will no longer be possible to download the program from LEGO.com/ldd. Fans with a current desktop version of LDD can continue using this program. However, the software won’t be updated or maintained. Additionally, it will no longer be possible to download LDD from LEGO.com after end-January. Starting February 1st, visitors to LEGO.com/ldd will be redirected to BrickLink Studio. The BrickLink Studio team and community are excited and ready to welcome LDD Fans and help them get onboarded to BrickLink Studio.

I've used hydrogen peroxide quite a bit to restore some of my old sets. Not sure how long it lasts before they yellow again.

 

Well that's a big set. And a super fun build. For reference, I'm 6'5"

 

My lightake order from China arrived in less than two weeks. Overall I give the fake bricks 3/5 stars. There were a piece or two that was off just a bit and the hubs aren’t smooth turning. The build gets a 2/5 due to some poor execution of design from the Ferrari set. Steering is stiff and the motor is a bit wierd. But I love the Manx and when my real one is at a show the mini-Manx will be there. And yes, I have a surfboard for the real one too. Disclaimer, my Manx isn’t a true Manx but Manx style is the best word to describe it.

 

Made a new friend and went traveling yesterday.

 

Today's steal... I mean pickup. Snagged these off fb marketplace for a couple dollars more than what just the snowball fight retail is. #SCORE
and now en route to the 2rd local target to see what they have left on clearance.

 

Looks like target is up to 70% off the lego collection. Just bought a ton of the pillows, rugs, etc for $6 each

 

Did not find any Bennie plushes, however did find a blue Bennie purse/bag/thing
