I'm trying to be better about that now...

 

Yeah, I had all my sets displayed at my mom's for years, but then when they moved out, I didn't have room for them all, so sets are in bags. I'm loosening up, but I used to allow them to play with one bag at a time.

P.S. I'm hoping and assuming you got the fire station, the tracking said it as delivered. Everything arrive okay?

Yeah there are a lot of awesome sets coming out this year.

 

Finally saw the Lego movie last night. I thought it was awesome. My wife has concluded that I am just like president business when it come to my Legos.

 

I have a 2 yo grandson and cannot wait until he can do Legos. Just got out a couple cars we built years ago

 

What's the plaque say under the chessie GP-35's?

Right now Target has a sweet display case of every star wars lego character and I want to know how I can get a hold of it when they are done with it!?

 

Yeah, Toys R Us and Wal Mart have it too, the question is why aren't those stores selling the individual Star Wars mini-figs? Why the display when 90% of those guys can't be bought in store, even if you buy all the sets that are in stock.

LEGO was threatened with a lawsuit by Hasbro over minifigs. This is one reason individual minifigs aren't sold for licensed themes. Another reason is to get people to buy sets which have a specific figure in them. AFAIK those displays usually go back to LEGO. If you want a specific fig and don't want to buy the set your options are ebay or bricklink.

 

They sell some individual characters as key chains which can be removed but it's not like the Mega Bloks Halo packs.

 

And they sell some as magnets. They are glued to the magnet though. Just as the keychain has the hole in the head and the head is glued to the body. From what I know this was part of the threatened lawsuit with Hasbro.

got this as a xmas gift a few years back. I really like the architect edition.


my fiancé was extremely enthusiastic when I dragged out my 2'x2'x4' trunk out of the basement full of legos after reading this thread
