speaking of enabling, thanks to you I bought a Countach today.. even worse I don’t think I can open it.. even worse I think I want more of the speed champions now.

Delorean is done! This was a pretty intricate build

the first 10 bags are just the car, you don't get to the accessories for the three different versions until bag 11. that makes switching out between them sort of easy. the bad news is that they didn't include enough bricks to build all of the accessories at once. only a handful of extra bricks are needed and they're not all that random so it's really disappointing that they didn't include them, especially considering the price of the set. my next pick a brick will include the needed extra bricks, might already have a few in my stash too.
i screwed up and put both license plate stickers on the same window pane, one on each side, as i didn't see the 2nd blank laying around. not the end of the world, i guess its just one less piece to keep track of. also, changing out the license plate is a PITA and requires taking apart half of the rearend.
some of the parts aren't all that stable. as i was swapping out the license plate several things fell apart and it took a minute to get it all reset the right way.
the flux capacitor works - well there's a little light in there that lights up. two button batteries run it. if they ever die it will take disassembling half the car to get it back out to replace them. so cool feature but could be a serious PITA long term.
biggest disappointment aside from the lack of bricks for the accessories is that the damn doors don't stay open on their own. was going to display it with the doors up but guess i can't.

i did see the pics of the new orchid set coming out next month. might cave on that one

Picked up a wizard’s chess set yesterday and managed to get two fresh wizard cards and one I all ready had. Got 11 out of 16 of the cards + a bunch of doubles. Any of the other Harry Potter collectors manage to complete the set yet?

Done! Quick and enjoyable build. I like the detail of the signals under the lens in front. Also, liked the clever way the air intakes on the rear are mounted to get the right position.

And, it gets the first billing on the pinball machine. It will be joined next week by the Speed Champions Lotus.

I’m missing 4, not sure which ones and also have some duplicates. I’ll check when I get home, we may need to work out some trades…

Very cool, that’s the next set I’m gonna get. Pinballs are getting crazy expensive. I’d like to get one eventually if the deal is right.

I wish you good luck on your pinball search, I managed to build up my collection to 3 before prices went insane. I have room for one more and want a Stern AC/DC, but they are always more than $5K used….

I want a Stern Iron Maiden Legacy of the Beast, used to have one at our local arcade that was fun as hell. Same, cheapest I’ve seen was $7K.

thankfully they’re back for the summer sets, shouldn’t have any trouble getting all 16 now.

I haven’t built a single HP set. I have them all in the backlog. When the day comes I hope I have them all.
