    stopped by a local mom and pop toy store. they had a half box of minifigs. lucky there was a Rowlf and a Statler in there - got all the Muppets now!! :woot:

    and they had sign up sheets for a lego building contest. each weekend this summer is a different age category. the adult contest is July 23/24. was tempted to sign up but i'd want to bring the camper. and i haven't ordered a single thing for it.

    If not, I've developed some ways to minimize add on parts not order or searching for part when it's obvious the system finds a vendor who is gouging..

    yeah, that's just the estimate in studio. i know some of the prices are inflated and the basic bricks are available direct from Lego PAB for a lot less.

    But why

    Studio really is just an estimate. I've often gotten Bricklink orders for less than Studio estimates the parts. Also, it's worth comparing PAB to Bricklink - a surprising amount of parts are less costly on the latter.

    I guess I've never used PAB, always Bricks and Pieces. Generally had decent results except for the nebulous lead times. Haven't order from the new combined system, either.
