Finally got the extra cash to get CaveGods AT-AT. Some proportions seem a lot better than the collectors series 75313 set honestly.

Just a better looking model in the end overall IMHO:

Hopefully shipping wont take too long, as this is my B-day present to myself and would love to start it soon!

The wife seems to like a lot of the Lego sets I pic up, and like myself also loves Star Wars, but wanted to pick her up something too for her first actual Lego set. I settled on a MOC.........

A plant she cant kill (she will admit to her black thumb - lol)

Forgot to add I already had a few accessories for the CG AT-AT I picked up awhile back. BrickLink is quite handy!

An 8x16 UCS display stand, a couple of UCS MOC stickers (the 2nd one for the EVENTUAL CaveGod AT-M6 Ill be building), an Imperial Commander/Commodore in charge, an Imperial Commander with Battle Armor commanding the AT-AT and of course 2 drivers:

I'm happy you're happy with your purchase.

I want to give you the heads up this website has been accused by some designers of stealing their designs and selling them as their own with no compensation to the designers. If you google it, you'll see some posts contradicting this. It's the internet so who knows.

I'm sure the MOC sections of Bricklink and Rebrickable have their own accusors (and some MOCs look suspiciously like LEGO sets) but you're dealing directly with the designer representing their own MOCs. For BL, most if not all available designs will be available at another site outside of BL. Some don't offer their designs at all. For Rebrickable, most are available directly from the Rebrickable website. It will then keep track of your purchase and let you export the parts list to a Bricklink or other Wanted List. Yeah, it's a PIA to buy your own parts but they make it super simple once you know the game.

Feel free to tell me to to go pound sand. Happy Building

No, thanks for the heads up. Honestly I was very sure about the CaveGod AT-AT as I have contacted a 3rd party to make sure this was his actual kit (minus the instructions which I got elsewhere). As to the Succulents, I have indeed seen MOC designs for them elsewhere but not this specific one so seemed gtg.

No it's the brick set as far as I'm aware. It's a pretty small parts count so should be fairly straightforward.

Rosie the Riveter - a short story..
I first saw the minifig listed on the Brickmania site about a year ago. Problem was, it wasn't available in the color I wanted. I followed every minifig sale and restock email up until about a month ago. Still no Rosie. I reached out to customer service and was informed it was a retired minifig. I know this just means it might come back in a year or two under a different model number but I didn't want to wait that long. My motivation was to add it to my wife's minifig collection, "Significant Women in US History" for her birthday in October. (She's not into Lego but tolerates and appreaciates these minifigs. I'd post a pic but some are political in nature and you know the rest....)

After hearing it was retired, I jumped the gun and posted in the regional sections of TW where Bricklink has brick and mortar stores asking if anyone lived near one and if they would be willing to help. Then I thought, shit, what if they're sold out and I asked someone to go there anyway. So not more than 30 minutes or so, I called each Brickmania store only to find out they were all out of stock, except for the Vallejo CA location (that day I learned there's a Rosie the Riveter Museum in the area) and they had 13 in stock.

I quickly closed out my requests in the regional threads updated my post in the Northern CA thread with these specifics. My call was answered by @tyfoon11 (TW member extraordinaire) not more than two hours later. When it came to settling, he said not to add anything for time or anything else but just to pay it forward. Funny thing is is paying it forward can only happen when opportunities present themselves so I'm waiting for an opportunity. I told him I thought his answering my post so quickly was because of a random act I did a few days before.

    My two takeaways:
    1) TacomaWorld members are some of the most kind and generous people; and
    2) Keep an eye out for opportunties for random acts of kindness, you'll never know how they can come back around.

Lego put the Bad Batch shuttle on sale last week for $20 off. I checked a couple of days ago and it was on Back Order status still at the sale price. Now it listed as Out of Stock at the regular $99.99 price.

Is this a common practice for Lego? Is it an indication this set will be retired soon?

I am not in the market for one, just trying to understand how Lego does these things…
