Everything LEGO thread!

I always enjoyed building vehicles with legos. Then I'd always think "Too bad a don't have an entire lego city to drive them through". Then I go look up the price of lego and turn tail and run.

 

The Technic AR app is pretty neat. You can aim at the rover and it'll show dust storms/animations around the model.

 

I completely forgot about it! Off to download!

After spending the majority of this rainy Saturday getting my house together I spent a few minutes putting this together.

 

I gave into my weakness and ordered the Concorde. Says it will ship by 5 Jan 24. Sooo we’ll see.

 

Bag two, 3-speed transmission, one down and two up shifter.

 

Thats sitting above my computer on a shelf staring at me waiting and taunting me to start it. Good luck!

 

I intended to not start these until snow was on the ground. That didn't work out.

 

It'll probably be that long before I get mine done.. I think I need to do my alpine lodge kit first so the wife can decorate for christmas in November and add it to the other village pieces (she ignores thanksgiving, despite my pleas that it's a holiday too)

 

It's so worth it when done. Absolutely beautiful set.

There is a lot going on here. Pistons, connecting rods and crank, more gears. The shift mechanism is wonky until the very final step.

The shock in the center is key to the shifter doing it's job. It worked great after that was installed. She's almost ready to fill with Rotella.

 

Finally got it done. Almost gave up on it, but I didn't. Beautiful car.

 

My son has the blue one. The "working" w12 is so cool.
