The Disney 100 Up set looked super cool. I'm a sucker for that movie.... Maybe it will be under the tree for me. I'll also have to swing into Barnes and Noble this week for that little Christmas set. Need something to do with the wife with all the snow on the ground.

 

All of the Walmarts I've checked have the Up House priced at $48 rather than the $60 MSRP. Not a sale price either, but their regular.

Finished this over Thanksgiving. Nice that it doesn't take up any shelf or table space.


Current project. Really digging these micro block sets. Much less shelf space. More challenge.

that makes me miss my 1990 truck, though its been on more off-roading adventure in the last year of my nephews ownership then it was with me since having kids.

oh both options id love to have on my shelf! been trying to talk my wife into letting me buy a CTR for the economy box fun, and commuting back and forth to work.

gooood luck on that one since the prices are stupid on them... hell used fk8s are still running 40k... and new fl5s are pushing 55k-60k...

 

i wish the fk8 was real but nope its an ai sadly...

 

oh, I'm aware, I've still friends from when I was at Honda who have mentioned if i want one they would make a really solid deal on one, which means not a ton over MSRP, but if its like the last time i got one it has every accessory available on it. even some that I didn't want because it had been sitting way longer then they wanted on the lot.

 

that would be nice... i tried getting one at msrp since they are now at 45k but everyone around me wanted 55k at the low end.. this gen it looks like they have a lot less accessory's then the fk8 but it did just come out so give it a year? and it might have more bits show up to add on it.

 

though if I wanted a WRX STi I know if I called right now I could have exactly what I wanted delivered to my job. probably by lunch, use to work for a local dealer as well, and my best friend works at another dealer now as the parts dept. manager for a couple of related dealerships. his store manager has been trying to pull me back into the dealership/ Tech life for years

From the elbow to torch was a bit touchy, I had to build it separate, but otherwise it was a fun build.

So I had dipped my toes into the knockoff market and got (2) DeLoreans from Marstoy. Shipping is always the killer but I paid under $100 for the pair. I’ve built one so far, but so far I only had two missing parts. One part was present in the spare parts and the other was hidden.

The car went together fine and not right on top of the car it looks the part. However, up close you can definitely see the flaws in the molding on the shiny pieces. It’s less noticeable on the non-shiny pieces, but the shiny ones are tough.

My authentic one is built as a Part 2 car in hover mode. The first faux build is a Part 1 car.

It was great fun to build and I’m looking forward to the final Part 3 build. I’ll use the authentic Part 3 wheels for the car since the hub caps are a bit iffy.

I’d probably still buy another kit from them, with tempered expectations. The T2 Transporter would be fun.
