Everything LEGO thread!

My wife got me this for my birthday last week. Was fun putting together. I think I’ll try and hang it from a ceiling.

 

I like it, I’m building mine over the holidays and will put mine next to a couple 1:100 B747 airline models I have.

 

Decided tomorrow I'm gonna blitz the local Walmarts for a pair of galaxy explorers. Timed right, I can hit like 4 of them in >90min.

I've got this funky idea for a classic space MOC ship now & with 2 of them I 'd have plenty of pieces to do it.

 

Might want to see if they're available to buy online and pick up in store. I was wanting to do something similar, found a couple local stores that had them last night, but checking this morning none of them are on sale anymore

 

Update: my local Walmart still has Galaxy Explorers on the shelf, but they're full price

Another nearby has them marked down to $70

I’ve been really slacking this year! Here is 8th-19th, gonna wait until the GF is here to get caught up since she likes doing these now



8-14: droid, droid speeder, hail fire droid, AAT, reindeer Gonk, Imperial Shuttle and Princess Leia with a snack.



15-19: Ewok village, Endor Bunker Doors, AT-ST, speeder and the Endor Satellite Dish thing

My local target is showing 7 wildflowers in stock, 3 succulents, 5 tranquil gardens, and one vespa scooter. Cool, I'll swing by after work and pick up a wildflower or maybe the scooter, I thought yesterday.

Nope, empty shelves full of detached security tags, save for one tranquil garden, one Dobby, and oddly 3 Chewbaccas. The Christmas locusts struck again.


...shit. Garden it is then.

 

Got one out of the 4 Walmarts visited.



I got it for $70 not $50 but I’m not complaining.

Hopefully I can just pick up one more

 

It has to be local pick up or delivery only. I looked at that, too.

Ended up picking up another for $65. Not nearly as much of a deal, but it's a good set and I also have a couple spaceship ideas. Might get another or two if they're still in stock after Christmas

If anyone can find another Galaxy Explorer I'd be super grateful! I've got a couple more places to look but not very optimistic.
