got the Viking village for Christmas from my mother. at 40years old getting legos is still just as cool as getting them as a kid. cracked the first bag, build that, and felt horrible have the worst head cold right now, so after that first bag i took a 4hour nap.

I hope everyone had a great brick-filled Christmas!

I got the winter polar bears and a custom ornament.

    20231227_111153_HDR.jpg

We gave my niece Duplo Animals of South America

    5c32ad5556564eb8bd22a14030e50d9exl.jpg

My fiancee got the Harry Potter advent calendar and begrudgingly stuck to opening it daily in order rather than all at once

    20231227_111134_HDR.jpg

She also played with a mosaic generator after Brick Days earlier this year and found a design she wanted to build. For months I've been telling her we needed to redo the design because a bunch of colors were expensive or out of production, but I secretly ordered everything a couple months ago. She was very excited opening it and plans to have it ready for a club display in February.

And last night I placed a bunch of Bricklink orders...

while i enjoy this lego content i want to know more about that ford truck in the back, had a 73 crew cab long box as a teen huge tires, and the fuel guage didn't go to the bottom, first long trip i took i though id fuel up in the next town and i was doing okay... that is when I learned that the fuel guage didnt go all the way down. walked a few miles into a town grabbed a jerry can and hiked that few miles back with that 5 gallons.

That's The Beast, my farm truck. '78 F250 supercab long box, 351m, NP435/205. Virtually stock except for a 4bbl swap. Fuel gauges don't work and the body is gradually rusting into oblivion, but it continues to run out of spite. I keep waffling between finding a donor body and rebuilding it or replacing it with an '80s bullnose diesel.

It hasn't left me stranded, but I usually keep a jerry can or two in the bed if I'm doing any serious running around in it.

oh man sounds like a normal 73-79 truck. met my wife when I was daily driving my F250 single cab long box, heater went out just before our first date. knew she was a keeper at that point. her safe little economy car and she hopped up in my 77 like it was nothing she mentioned some rust on the corners of the cab, what she didn't know is the whole floor pan had a ton of self tappers holding new pans under the foot wells, but hey $800 for that truck and it had pretty new 33's on it when i took it home. wish I hadn't needed to sell it but having my 05 f350 diesel later and that wasn't going to fit well in my townhouse driveway or laneway

Potato quality because they’re in cases but I finished the Part 1 and 3 Marstoy Deloreans to go with my authentic Lego Part 3 car.

I ended up using the real Lego wheels for the Part 3 car as the chromework on the faux-Lego ones was pretty awful. Overall one went together without a hitch, the other I had to scavenge some parts to replace missing pieces. Still a joy to build either way. For the price they were excellent.
