Exactly. Custom products are usually always most of the time shipped out overnight within hours of payment.

I keep seeing some folks mention something about venting? What is up with that?

These are the vents that they are talking about I believe. Don’t remove them or cover them up with anything, eg sound proofing and the like.

I wonder if the road noise is bad w/o sound deadening?

I have read mixed reviews. Some say they noticed zero difference with road noise after removing the bins. I am still on the fence about doing it or not. Ideally I would do the entire interior but I really don't want to do that, so not sure just the rear panel is really worth it.

I did it because I eventually plan on doing the doors when I replace my speakers and I noticed a difference.

I can report that if you remove the backseat, including the seat back, the road nose is real bad, and you will want the sound deadening, will return it back to normal levels.

If you plan to keep your seat in, the seat back, it's not necessary, you probably won't notice anything. The rear seat back is what truly isolated the road nose from the back end.

I will further report, that I did not notice much gained by doing the doors, only one I felt that was worth it was the rear panel, only because I removed my rear bench seat and seat back. If you keep the seat in, I wouldn't worry about it.

It is noticeable, and if you are going to leave your seats down a lot, you should probably do the sound deadening. Otherwise, crank up the stereo and you won't notice it at all.

having kept my back seat, the only noise increase i noticed is that my exhaust note is a bit louder in the cab, which i happen to like.

You might try downloading a sound meter app and do a baseline before doing any work. You'd be surprised at the decibel level in a vehicle just driving down the road. Then do a differential once everything is removed. Finally, do it again after the sound deadening treatment. Add more sound deadening as needed.

Granted, the apps may not be super accurate, but its the differential that they register that you are interested in. Personally, having been conditioned by a 6-liter 400+ hp daily driver that makes an intoxicating V8 sound yet is surprisingly quiet when you don't have your foot in it, I find the V6 exhaust to be unnecessarily loud, off-putting and sophomoric. My '93 4Runner's exhaust with 411,000 miles on it is still quieter than this Taco. I can put it in 4-low, let out the clutch and creep down pine straw strewn logging roads so quietly that I can close on wildlife and people without them knowing I'm there until I am real close. About all you hear at twenty yards is the electric radiator fan. Not with this Taco. It's as if Toyota wanted to compensate for the lack of masculinity in the metrosexual sound of a V6 by making it unnecessarily loud. Fail. I'm doing the sound deadening, but first chance, I'm dealing with the real problem: getting rid of that muffler and getting a quiet one.
