    I just bought mine.

No excuses with you. You can use ziplock bags in the meantime :)

I have added it to my cart on Amazon now. Sent it to the wife to get her buy-in. So most likely we will end up buying it tonight lol.

I think I have about $50-$60 left on an Amazon GC I got last year. So will make it a little easier on me. I am going on vaca in 3-4 weeks also.

@greeneggsnspam do you use the Anova app at all? I usually just set the temp, and then a separate timer so the wi-fi version isn't worth the extra money to me.

The wi-fi version is 100W more, so maybe it will heat the water faster? :notsure:

Yes you should be able to adjust and monitor remotely. My biggest gain on it will be that BT signal is usually pretty weak in my house so WiFi allows me to not have to be right on top of the thing.

I used Nomiku. It was... garbage to say the least. I would only use it to turn off and on the sous vide.

Because then you forget to turn off the stove and burn the sous vide.

Most sous vide apps will send a message saying when the timer is done, temp is ready, or water is low.

I'm all about setting it the morning. And dropping the bags in when I come home.

This is pretty sweet, just ordered the Anova with bluetooth for 109. Looking forward to cooking with it!

No. You can't leave the frozen bags in all day. You can toss them in frozen and add about 30 min to the total time.

But the Anova also beeps loudly 3 times when the temp is done. Usually I just fill the pot with hot water (around 110 degrees), set the sous vide to temp, and drop the food in. Then I'll start the timer once the target temp is hit.
