I'm considering the Firestone Destination A/T for forays onto the forest roads of the Colorado mountains. I don't plan to do any serious 4-wheeling, just get deeper into the forest but our roads are dirt/(sharp) rock. Besides the summer months, the truck sees mostly paved road, albeit with snow. The tire is highly rated on tirerack.com but one local person claims the tire chunks more than others. I'd love to hear others' experience with this tire.

Bonus: They're giving a $50 Visa card with purchase of 4 through 6/25/11.

The tire has 17 million miles on it, per the reviews on Tirerack, and its ranked #2. If you are worried about abnormal wear, get the additional warranties.

You make a lot of tire threads.

Bought my Destination A/T's in January and have had no problems. Excellent in snow and very low road noise. The guy at the tire store had them on his truck(Dodge Ram) and he loved them. Had a little over 10,000 miles on them and they looked almost new.
