just got under the truck to check things out and noticed this. I have 5500 miles on this truck and to me this looks like a 100k+ mile rust build up...

Should I bring this up to the dealer? I already feel like they hate me for my transmission problems...

I would. At that rate, it looks like the bolt heads will be unusable in the future.

Do you need to know, or care?
Hate you?? OP, everytime they touch your truck it's money in their pocket from Toyota, or maybe you if not under warrantee. They should be smiling when they see you.

Sorry to hear of all your problems, My sport has pretty much been trouble free except for the early tranny searching witch either has corrected itself or i have trained myself to drive it differently.

Yea, all of my problems have been fixed except the tranny lug from R to D. I have been to the dealer 3 times about it and the first 2 times they said they filled the tranny with fluid. I thought it was getting better but I have noticed it more and more, even after a few hours sitting after a drive it does it. I hope I dont have to look into the lemon law crap because of a tranny...

Closer to the mountains. But my 2011 never rusted nearly like this over 5 years.
