    Lolwat.

Each are made by hand in the traditional, old world mat making ways that date back thousands of years.

I also have the Husky liners. Decent fit but it's winter so I would imagine that they would conform faster sitting in a hot truck in the summer. A bit of dirt does get underneath but you can drive with muddy boots and save your carpet.

I had Husky's in my Tacoma, the fit has great, covered the dead pedal completely and no holes for the hooks.
After 7 years both the mats and carpet looked new and we get bad winters here.

After reading all the threads on Wheathertech I decided to get a set for my wife's Fiat. I was quite dissapointed with the fit, I found them quite bad actually. At the same time a friend got a set for his RX350, the tan colour was horrible shade. He called Weathertech and they said it was a known issue.

I believe both are made in the USA, and I've dealt with Weathertech near Chicago as they make the mats using our equipment but I'll stick with Husky. I just got a set a few weeks ago for our MKX and again the fit was great, covered everything including the hooks.

    Shawn.

OP here: emailed photos that I included at start of the thread to weathertech, I'll update y'all with an update when I hear back. Not a big deal, I bet a good georgia summer will help from the sound of it, but kind of a bummer for what you pay. Those huskeys look sharp! My father, who purchased for me for Xmas is in the autobusiness and swears by WT so not an option for me.

    -WeatherTech liners
    They'll most likely reference this...

The "gap" issue is simple to fix:

Option A: Take them out and bent them the opposite way by hand
Option B: Take them out and flip upside down where it's warm and put a telephone book on it for a few hours

Both options work. I've done both on various sets I've had over the past decade or more of using the liners in our vehicles

Agree with OZ-T post, fitment gaps out of the box are all too NORMAL in many Tacomas and other vehicles as well. Mine do the exact same thing in my 2010, been in the truck for over 4 years and haven't settled hardly at all. Tried bending them by hand on several hot summer days, no joy still crappy old ½ inch gaps. Tried 3M two-sided sticky tape, still no joy there either. A lot of money for a crappy fit same as many others experience. Agree with PeeRunner “If I was in the market I'd buy something else,…”

I too have no other issues with the functionality of the WeatherTechs even if the crappy appearance does not look as neat as shown in their slick ads.

Strongly suggest contact Weathertech and complain, maybe they have a solution. Don’t be too timid, be nice but go ahead and ask for replacements.

That was my argument. You can clearly see that my posts are attached and the lip of the weathertech mat is clearly not where it should line up. And on the husky liners posts are attached and fit is acceptable.

When I sent the pics to weathertech they treated me like I was an idiot and didn't know how to install mats until I video conferenced with them showing them what was going on.

Your guess is as good as mine.

For what it's worth, I put a set of weathertechs in my 2014 and they fit perfectly. I'm happy with the purchase.

I put a set in my 2014 and they fit horribly. Turned on the heat on feet only and left the truck run for 1/2 hour they were hot but did not change fitment.

For $105.00 (fronts) these should fit like a glove (after all they are laser measured).

Returned to Amazon for a full refund including shipping.

Agreed laser measured fitment obviously means nothing. I will be getting some Husky's

You sir, are a dang genius .... Thank you for stating the obvious.

What people fail to think about here is that we are talking about thousands upon thousands of trucks ... you're trying to tell me that every single truck that rolls down the line is put together and every one of them will measure within a few millimeters of each other? Not going to happen on their best day. Thus when the mold is made off that ONE lucky truck out of thousands, thats what they work with.

A little work with a hair dryer, a heavy book, duct tape, whatever... taken care of small gaps all the time.

Weatherbeaters tend to lay a little better than the Weathertechs because they are a softer material.

I am the infamous Scott that you are speaking of here. My job there was sales, not returns. I could promise you the world, but ultimately the final decision was not mine. As far as I knew, we got every one of these returned to Weathertech and the customer credited, but apparently we missed one.

Out of the hundreds of sets I sold on here, you have one of the FEW trucks that were a mystery to me and the folks at Weathertech. I could send you out ten sets of mats and NONE of them would ever line up. I spent plenty of time on the phone with my sales reps Del and Steve at Weathertech, the Weathertech engineers, Toyota people, and so on .. working on this issue. We were never able to figure out why those few trucks were that far off.

There are a few threads on here about this exact problem. One guy even went as far as moving the pegs over with new holes in the carpet.

I think there we maybe a dozen trucks max that I sold mats for that had this issue. Odd as hell, but the rest of them fit like a charm.

Looks about the same as mine on my '13 Tacoma. Yo'al should have seen the one I bought for my Avalon. That piece of shiiz has folded inward toward the center like a taco shell now. It's been about two yrs that I bought these. I'll take a pic of it when I get a chance.

    Here are the pics

My 2011 mats have a slight gap. No big deal. I'm not lifting my foot up and resting it on the kick panel.

There are lots of things in life that aren't expected to be perfect every single time. We spend lots of money on these things. In the wood business we chuckle at the people who want cedar with no knots but don't want to pay for VG clear. My point? There are lots of floor mats out there... most cheaper than the weathertechs. Something has changed in their manufacturing process that is producing inferior mats compared to their own mats made years ago. They're thinner, harder, slippery and are fitting proper all the time.

You're saying they're just floor mats, what's the big deal. People are spending thousands of dollars on their truck and accessories, who cares if the floor mats aren't perfect.

I say people are just expecting their floor mats to perform as advertised:

have worked tirelessly to develop the most advanced DigitalFit® floor protection available today!

The WeatherTech® FloorLiner™ DigitalFit® accurately and completely lines the interior carpet giving "absolute interior protection™"!

Digital laser measurements of interior surfaces offer a consistently perfect fit!

WeatherTech® FloorLiner™ is guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for 3 years from the date of purchase. We are reasonable people and we believe in customer satisfaction. Depending on the situation, we will either replace your mats at no charge or charge you a prorated amount for a replacement.
