Does anyone else's truck have excessive wind/air noise?

I know there was a TSB for buzzing sound, I don't have that.

Mine just has excessive air noise around my drivers and passenger door when on the freeway, even when it is not windy outside. However, windy conditions make it worse.

The best way to describe it, would be like driving with the door not being fully secured/locked all the way, therfore not creating a full seal and having that wind/air noise.

I feel like I am driving a Chevy from the 90s lol

    Thanks

On my tacoma, I hear a whistling noise from the the driver side mirror as if the air is passing in the small area around the hinge but I just make the radio louder.

Yes, same here. 2018 DCLB Off Road. Dealership said it's normal and didn't do anything about it.

As much as folks hate them, the front air dam helps a lot with wind noise. I have not had any MPG improvements as others have said, but at highway speeds, there is CONSIDERABLE more wind noise W/O the air dam on. I know you can put them on the OR version as they are the holes etc. You just need the Air Dam and the 10mm bolts and the metal clips that the bolts thread into. You can find the air dams EVERYWHERE.

Hmmm I did take mine off when I purchased the truck. I should reinstall and see if it was that. I doubt it though as I hear it around the door trim.

That's been my fix for now. Turn up the radio.

The other day I had a friend in the truck and we were talking and it was embarrassing how loud the wind noise was.

I just don't understand how Toyota can put out a product with this problem, especially when its a $35K vehicle.

My wife's 19K Tucson is smoother and quieter than my 35K Tacoma lol

I must have got lucky. My truck is very quite on the inside compared to a friend who has a 2017. Sound deadening guy must have taken off that day at the plant for his truck lol.

Whenever I ride in his truck i look to see if he has a window open lol. He does have a camper shell so not sure if that makes a difference with sound.

I notice that it is louder now than when I bought it, but I came from a 15 year old car and really don't notice it too much.

I mean at the end of the day it is a Toyota, not a Bentley so we can’t be too picky. But I agree nobody should have air leaking through a seal.

Honestly my biggest gripe with my truck is the passenger seat squeaking on the center console. Haven’t gave it much thought on a solution but it’s driving me crazy.

My biggest gripe is the entire truck vibrating lol

The wind noise I could live with.

I am taking it in Friday for TSB 0023-19. I have steering wheel, both seats, pedals, and floorboard vibrations :/

Do you have wooden wheels on your truck.
