    Hello Forumites!

My 1st Gen 2000 SR5 V6 has OEM 14” 5-lug wheels. As it also sports a long rack and full tool box, the drive is not what one could correctly describe as secure. Also the tire selection is now extremely lacking in the 14-inch variety. I bought it way-back-when Michelin offered 225s in a 14”. They were wonderful!

I found a good deal on a set of 15” 5-lug 2001 Tacoma wheels so I jumped on it. Ordered a full set of 215/70/R15 Michelin Defender tires from Costco.

During the installation, Costco Service called to tell me: The wheels won’t mount! Probably not news to most folks, but it’s because of the hub-centric configuration.

    I ordered from ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/4pcs-5x114...VaotwW:sc:USPSPriorityFlatRateBox!90077!US!-1

Even though the page says they will fit, THEY DON"T! The hub hole is not big enough. Ever so slight, but the tire installer tried to mount one on the rear, and the center hole is too small.

    Please help with some direction!
