I recently purchased a 2017 SR 4cyl 2WD with 66k miles on it. This is 4th Toyota vehicle my family has purchased or leased since '05 and the first pickemup truck! I did a lot of research and decided the 2TR-FE engine was the way to go for mpg & reliability. We don't do any off-road driving, but spend but spend lots of time fresh water fishing here in Texas! The truck is stock from the factory with the following two exceptions, first I added a 2" receiver hitch and trailer light receptacle and got rid of the plastic rear bumper (what a POS)!!!

I've been in the plumbing industry for over 40 years and will retire when my truck loan is paid off, at that time I just plan on spending a ridiculous amount of time fishing!

I look forward to learning from this forum some insights on repairing and maintaining my "new" Tacoma, this will more than likely be my last vehicle I ever own.
    Cheers,
    Dave
