I have a used Exceltech power inverter (MX Series) for sale. Purchased in 2011. Still functions properly. These are one of the best inverters out there. I went to a smaller unit for space requirements.

Cosmetically you can tell it is a used unit with some coating discoloration and a few scuffs. It weighs approximately 15 lbs. Dimensions of 15 in long x 7in wide x 7 in tall. A power strip has been wired into the inverter outputs. The power and ground cables have been removed as I used them on my smaller inverter after I downgraded to a Xantrex ProSine. The Power and grond inputs are located behind the back panel and run throught the side of the unit through access holes and protected with grommets.

This would be a great addition to any generation Tacoma or Expedition Trailer.

I paid 1800 for the unit at the time of purchase. It has been sitting on my garage shelf (Covered) for over a year and was function tested this past weekend for operability.

Asking 700 OBO plus shipping (FedEx) to CONUS.

I can post some pictures later tonight and e-mail any interested parties. PhotoBucket is blocked at my work.

    Located in Houston, TX

Hey bud, I'm interested in this thing but I know very little about inverters. I'm assuming the engine has to be running while using the A/C power? Will it kill your battery unless you idle up? Does this inverter provide enough power to run power tools like grinders or circular saws?

Yes I would recommend having the truck running while the inverter is powering any device that is plugged in that draws significant amperage. At idle your alternator produces approximately 14v to keep your battery charged. The inverters rated DC output with a 12V supply is about 170 amps. As long as you don't go over that amperage draw I don't see a reason you wouldn't be able to run those off of the inverter. Just check what the amp draw for each of the tools are.
