exhaust and spare tire

    So like 2 days ago my very back exhaust braket snapped so now the end of my exhaust keeps slammin into my spare tire and leaf spring. Well since I didn't have time to get it welded I used really big zip ties to hold it up against my spare tire so it wouldn't move. Right now I'm makin a 3 hour drive to rock hill, SC. Do you think the exhaust will get hot enough to melt my spare tire where its touchin the exhaust? Thanks

    Its not a permanent solution just wonderin if it would be fine for this weekend till I get back to work monday where I can use a welder

    No, I'm actually makin the drive right now. If several people say that it could harm the spare I'll jump out with my knife

    my buddy 95 4runner had the same issue and yes it did burn his spare tire . dont know if that makes a different

    Damn. Well I'm only about 30 minutes away now. So I'm guessin its not gonna matter if I cut em off now. But I'll get some wire while I'm up here to attach it the hanger. I'll let yall know if it burnt my tire
