I took my 2010 Tacoma in to have them look at the frame corrosion after they treated it last year and while they had it on the lift I asked them to look at the exhaust and to let me know what it would cost for them to fix it, they quoted me $3200! The flange that connects the Y pipe and exhaust pipe is corroded and has pulled apart, I was hoping they could just cut that small section/flange out and put some kind of coupler on it and either clamp or weld it. Needless to say I'm not spending $3200 to fix this and am hoping to do this myself. Has anyone done this and can tell me what size coupler and clamps I need to pick up at the auto store?

Maybe this will help you, idk.
Stock exhaust tubing before Y pipe: 1.900" O.D.
Stock exhaust after Y pipe coupler: 2.415" O.D.
    Just for reference, a Flowmaster 2 1/4" muffler: 2.440" O.D. and 2.390" I.D.
    With a tape measure (and reading glasses :) ), Flowmaster 2 1/2" O.D. and a little over 2 1/4" I.D.

Tacoma exhaust hanger rod is 7/16" in diameter.

They're crazy for even thinking anyone would pay $3,200, but I'm sure lots of people have.

I saw these yesterday at Autozone, I didn't know these things are available. They have all kinds of combinations available. For the Y, I personally would check a wrecking yard but I'm sure someone makes them from the aftermarket.

Look at Walker muffler site has diagrams and also Rock Auto - both have pics.
That Y pipe comes with the cat too so about $350 bolt on. Need the muffler donut/flange gaskets probably too and new bolts/springs to bolt together.
Or a muffler shop may be able to fix you up but they may want to replace a lot if all rusted out.

Lol Toyota tried to get me for that exhaust replacement too. They wanted $3417 with the frame replacement. I did one of the gaskets myself last summer. I got the gasket on Amazon. The hardware was rusted away but was easy to replace with a new nut, bolt and lock washer. I pried the flange open and gobbed exhaust sealant on both sides, popped the gasket in and bolted it up. Been fine since.
