Gonna buy a new taco this month and I'm considering an exhaust upgrade. I'm looking for a refined exhaust note. Nothing too loud. Are you guys happy with the TRD cat-back exhaust? Any advice :)

The TRD cat back is a nice mellow exhaust. One of the more quiet ones on the market.

Search on Youtube for sound clips of the different exhausts. Also - research pricing.

I have the Flowmaster #17432 kit (cat-back, dual exits) w/ 50 series muffler.

It's purrs nicely and not loud at all.

I saw a tacoma that dumped their exhaust with the stock muffler and it sounded pretty good.

I don't like the trd exhaust. It sounds like the truck is farting!

Get u a magnaflow muffler and a nice tip and have a muffler shop weld them on! It'll sound nice and won't cost you a fortune!

Check out the Flomaster American Thunder 50 series. Thats what I have on mine. Not to loud and not to quiet. I really like it! One of the better sounding exhausts out there IMO.
